About Súpa Daxins

Súpa Daxins is an indie rock band from Reykjavík, Iceland whose sound is as dreamy as it is groovy. Their name, a playful twist on the Icelandic phrase Súpa Dagsins (“soup of the day”), says it all: every track brings a new flavor. Live, Súpa Daxins is an experience. They’re groovy, smooth, and full of pulse. Their sets glide from laid-back indie pop to high-energy electronic and punk rock-driven moments, all anchored by hypnotic basslines and otherworldly synths. They are always bold, never bland, and leaving you wanting seconds. Formed in the dark Icelandic winter of 2025, the group came together through a Facebook post, each member looking for a creative outlet to brighten the long Icelandic nights. What started as a casual jam turned into instant chemistry. The lineup features Chanté (vocals, saxophone, songwriting), Roberto (synths, guitar, production), Traust (bass, production), and Atli Steinn (drums). Together, they create a fluid sound that makes you wanna hit repeat. Having performed for 15,000 people at Reykjavík Pride, as well as Iceland Airwaves off-venue, Loft Hostel, Bird, and the legendary Lemmy, the band continues to carve its place in Reykjavík’s thriving music scene. Súpa Daxins is currently working on releasing their debut EP this winter!
